Ontario Conservation Officer of the Year Named

Randy Pepper of Parry Sound has been named the Ontario Conservation Officer of the Year for 2011.

Pepper was recognized for his professionalism and commitment during his 26 years of service. He has been involved in uniformed, plainclothes and covert operations. His career as an undercover officer with the ministry is the longest on record. He also led a large-scale project cracking down on the commercialization of wildlife that resulted in eight people being charged with 69 wildlife offences.
