Gear Review: Ski-Doo Expedition

Ski-Doo’s 2012 Expedition model is ideal for areas where snowmobiles are used as transportation and trails are either primitive or non-existent — such as your deep-winter, deep-woods spike camp.

Deep snows, rugged terrain or even heavy loads won’t stop this sled! BRP builds the Expedition snowmobile with a totally unique feature set making it an outstanding trail  touring sled, a competent off-trail explorer and a capable work vehicle. Its tough REV-X chassis with pyramidal frame is extremely rugged and the riding position is versatile enough for stretched out cruising, stand up boondocking and everything in between.  Long and wide  tracks provide not only flotation, but massive traction.  Rugged racks and underseat compartments offer generous cargo capacity while hitches and a high/low gearbox (SE and LE models) increase the utility factor.  Driver and passenger amenities are generous, especially with the Expedition LE and Expedition SE feature packages.
