Not what you’re looking for? Find more articles on hunting ungulates! We carefully packed our boat full of gear and motored down river to find a spot to set up our base camp for hunting moose. The heavy, grey clouds in the sky peppered us with intermittent showers, which occasionally turned to snow. We were going to be using a cisco rig and frozen bait. … Read more »

I tried Muir Lake a couple more times and, although I did see some people catching fish, I was unsuccessful. Mid-September brought about an exciting week and the time had come for our big trip – my wife and I were going fishing with Yellow Dog Lodge, in the Northwest Territories. We packed our suitcases and headed to the airport to catch our plane to Yellowknife. After our short plane ride into Yellowknife, we rented a car and spent the day being tourists. It is amazing how Canada, although so different, shares so many similarities. The NWT was no exception … Read more »

Not what you’re looking for? Find more articles on hunting gear! Winchester’s Model 94 Trails End Takedown My first real deer rifle was a Winchester Model 94 30-30 and with it I harvested my first deer, a white tail doe. While that was almost half a century ago, it is just a fraction in time considering this rifle was introduced back in 1894.
