NEWS: Changes For Migratory Bird Hunters

If you’re a migratory bird hunter, here’s your chance to have your voice heard in regards to new legislation.

Environment Canada has drafted a number of changes to the federal Migratory Birds Regulations. The changes, which have been published to allow for public comment until June 9, 2014, respond to issues, concerns and challenges identified by hunters, hunter organizations, migratory bird population biologists and enforcement officials.

The main issues addressed in the proposal pertain to the possession of migratory birds, labelling, transportation, wastage and processing. For full details on the proposed changes, go to
