Alberta's Waterfowler Heritage Days provide hunting opportunities for youth
Event encourages the next generation of safe hunters
Youth aged 12 to 17 will be able to hunt waterfowl without a Migratory Game Bird Hunting Permit or a provincial Game Bird Licence on September 4 and 5 in southern Alberta as part of Alberta’s second annual Waterfowler
Wow... 2010 Western Magazine Awards (WMAs) has laid a serious burn their entrants to the "Best New Magazine" category... the website states: "...none offered an editorial package that merited inclusion as a finalist for the WMA." (http://www.westernmagazineawards.ca/ )
Doesn't make tons of sense... since you have to actively enter the contest, the WMAs are really only awarding "The Best of

2010 BIG GAME DRAW OPENS MAY 1
If you are hoping to hunt certain big game species this fall, you should plan on getting your Big Game Draw applications in before the May 31, 2010 deadline.

Cohen Commission selects participants in salmon inquiry

The federal commission examining the collapse of Fraser River sockeye salmon has released the list of people invited to participate in the formal public hearings.
The Cohen Commission granted standing status to 20 groups and individuals, which means they will be able to propose
