I read today that Canada, more specifically Great Slave Lake, may be home to a entirely unique species of cisco - just discovered the other day. They've dubbed it Coregonus googelii - the "googely eyed cisco."

Conservation officers branded the cougars "killer cats" because they appear to have no fear of human beings.
The first cougar was shot after being spotted on July 3 near a campground in the B.C. interior town.
Then on July 10, a 16-month old cougar was shot by a local resident after it was seen observing children
