I read about this hunter in Alberta last year who "accidentally" shot at a fellow hunter -- he mistook him for a moose.
Thankfully, the shot missed. The perpetrator was shocked at how this happened -- and, when I read the article, he seemed to believe such a mistake is easier than he once thought.
I don't buy it. We all know that we NEVER pull the trigger unless we're 100 per cent sure of our
It's that time of year again. For bow-hunters, the season is afoot.
How many of you are bow-benders? And of you that bow-hunt, how many also rifle hunt?
Finally, why do you bow-hunt? To extend your season? To challenge yourself? For the primitive-weapons nature of it? To hunt exclusive grounds? Or just to get out there earlier?

I recieved notice from one of our writers, Kevin Wilson, regarding his article, "A Marsh I Know," published in our Nov/Dec issue, has received some attention. Here's an e-mail I received from him this weekend:

We're especially excited about this year's show, as we've doubled our booth space and we'll have tons of stuff on sale: DVDs, Hats,
These photos came down the wire to me the other day -- pretty wild.
In a nutshell, the story is that an employee at the Petro-Canada plant in Robb, AB, heard some noise, followed by a growl, and turned to see a wolf taking down a deer right in the sulphur!
The wolf, finally realizing where it was, got spooked and took off. The deer was mortally wounded and had to be put down.
The below photos were
Right now, the Alberta Hunting For Tomorrow Foundation is undertaking a very important project — something that depends entirely on you. And it only takes a few minutes of your time to make your contribution.
It's a survey.
It seems there has been no concrete data compiled on the economic benefits of the hunting industry to the Alberta economy in 10 years... sadly out of date, especially since
