It's really no wonder fishing licences out-sell hunting licences about 5:1 in this country. After all -- a rod, a hook, a wieght and a worm is all you need to go fishing.
Oh, and some water.
Hunting is different. Hunting is more of a commitment. And a hunter is usually gung-ho from day one, whereas weekend warrior fishermen abound.
Not that I'm putting down the Gentleman's Sport of Angle -- I'm a fisherman born and raised. It's just that hunting is - different.
Butwhere does someone turn to get skilled in hunting? Or bowhunting? Well, if you're an Alberta, Hunting For Tomorrow's "Outdoor Bound" program is worht checking out.
In a nutshell, organizers pair newbie hunters (or new bowhunters) with a mentor to learn the skill. To find out more, visit http://www.huntingfortomorrow.com/ .
Good luck out there!
