Feature stories on: What is the true economic impact of hunting and fishing in Alberta? The Hunting For Tomorrow Foundation along with other partners is working to answer that question. Kelly Semple will chat with us about this first of its kind survey in Alberta.

We will also be joined by Duane Radford who has talked with fishing guides, professional outfitters and outdoor shop owners across Alberta and what they are saying about the current economic conditions.

TJ Schawnky with the Alberta Fish and Game Association will take us on a duck hunt along the cannel system located near Brooks. Along the way we will have a chance to talk about the habitat work the AFGA and ACA are doing in the area to preserve these unique hunting grounds.

Feature stories on:We spend some time in the Athabasca area hunting one of the Alberta Conservation Association habitat sites. I’m joined by a Grade 9 student who puts his unique perspective on all things hunting.

Hunters and anglers and others who enjoy the backcountry are always on the look-out for detailed maps. Help is at hand, thanks to an Alberta based company which has developed a new mapping  process finding that magic fishing or hunting ground is as close as a click of a button.

Climate change is very much in the news, we spend some time with a researcher from the Royal Alberta Museum who provides some insight on how looking at our past might provide some answers to what may happen with our climate in the future.
